Holds a PhD in Biosciences and Biotechnology from the Carlos Chagas Institute/Fiocruz, a master's degree in Immunobiological Technology from Fiocruz (2005) and a degree in Chemistry from UERJ (1990). He has been working in development, production and quality control in the diagnostics segment for over 30 years. He has experience and expertise in diagnostic platforms based on immunochromatography and lateral flow (rapid tests, point-of-care), ELISA assays, IFI, molecular assays based on real-time PCR, LAMP, serological multi-tests and liquid and solid microarrays. Occasionally participates in Technical-Scientific Committees in support of Centralized Programs coordinated by the Ministry of Health, focusing on diagnosis, providers of Quality Control Programs and Hemotherapy. Senior Technologist working at Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz since 1986, holds the position of Deputy Director of Diagnostic Reagents, focusing on infectious and bloodborne diseases.
