PhD in Sciences (Biology of the Pathogen-Host Relationship) from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is a specialist in Bioinformatics from the National Scientific Computing Laboratory and graduated in Biological Sciences (USP).

He has experience in the areas of Genetics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Digital Health and Data Science, with an emphasis on Human and Medical Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: population genetics, Amazon, genetics, epidemiological genetics and association, linkage and analysis studies of complex segregation.

He has been a Public Health Researcher at Fiocruz since 2012. He served as Deputy Coordinator of the Information and Communication Technology Governance Committee at Fiocruz and in the Coordination Group for Tackling the Covid-19 Pandemic at Fiocruz.

He was coordinator of Fiocruz Rondônia and General Coordinator of Strategic Planning at Fiocruz. He is a member of the Management Committee of the National Institute of Epidemiology of the Western Amazon and Deputy Director of Innovation at the Institute of Technology in Immunobiologicals (Bio-Manguinhos / Fiocruz).
