PEQ ISIBetween the 2nd and 4th of May, the Institute of Technology in Immunobiologicals (Bio-Manguinhos) promotes the seventh edition of the International Symposium on Immunobiologicals (ISI). Already traditional in the Institute's scientific calendar, the event was created with the objective of stimulating research and development in biotechnology in Brazil, promoting the promotion of innovation, the generation of cutting-edge knowledge and networking among specialists.

In the 2021 edition, ISI gained a digital format, which allowed remote participation in lectures, round tables, short courses and workshops, which were transmitted in real time through a virtual platform specially designed to respond to this new reality imposed by pandemic. In 2022, it became a hybrid event, assimilating the benefits of the digital universe, but adding face-to-face sessions following security protocols.

In 2023, the ISI will once again be primarily face-to-face, with participatory activities, to encourage the exchange of knowledge and interaction between participants, but without giving up the technologies brought about by the pandemic reality. One of them is the use of its own application to increase immersion in the event, where it is possible to access the complete agenda of lectures, visit the virtual poster exhibition and interact with speakers, authors and other participants, in addition to voting for your favorite poster to the Popular Poster Award.

Speaking of the poster exhibition, this edition will feature the Arena ISI space, a space where the 90 posters will be displayed on shared digital totems. In addition, 6 of them will be presented orally in plenary and 27 will be presented in pitch format. The intention is to allow a greater interaction between the authors among themselves and with the participants of the event.

Success in previous editions of ISI, Innovation Hub and Easy ISI are also confirmed in the 7th edition of the event. Designed to encourage collaboration and partnership between researchers and entrepreneurs, the Innovation Hub enables networking between these groups and the sharing of ideas, products and biotechnological solutions to public health problems. Easy ISI brings together a series of short courses with information on immunobiologicals designed especially for those who are starting out in this universe.

The main auditorium of the event opens space for important dialogues on what is most relevant in the development and production of immunobiologicals for public health, and on the lessons learned and the technological legacy of the COVID-19 pandemic in all spheres of development. The event also provides up-to-date information and new scientific and technological knowledge that will allow us to anticipate the state of the art, trends and challenges for the development of new products and technological solutions in the biopharmaceutical field.

Aimed at students, researchers, investors and professionals in the field, in general, the seventh edition of the ISI will provide a comprehensive platform for important dialogues focused on promoting and strengthening interaction and collaboration among its participants.
